Have you heard of Evernote, the free, accessible anywhere software that helps you remember things both big and small, personal or professional?
The software has quickly become quite the craze among the growing busy and technologically savvy community. In fact, last December (2011), Inc Magazine awarded it the “Company of the Year.”
Evernote allows you to save your notes, web clips, recipes, files, images, audio, travel itineraries and documents, and anything else you find cool, in a space where everything is easily searchable and always at your fingertips (Evernote syncs to all of your hand-held devices (tablets and phones) and your computer).
Additionally, you can share your notes, and collaborate on projects with friends, colleagues, and classmates all within the space.
Even cooler, similar to the Pinterest “pin it” button, Evernote offers the “web clipper” that allows users to capture entire webpages, including text, images and links and send to their memory space.
How can this software help you?
Any busy mom, entrepreneur, or businessperson knows how easy it is to accumulate notes, photos, articles, etc in various places and not be able to find them when we need them. No matter how organized we try to be, there is always room for digital item loss.
Using Evernote allows you to keep all of these materials in one space and to go back at any time, find them, share them and track and develop projects with them. It is a one-space wonder for anyone scattered, busy, and on the run.
If you have used Evernote and want to share how you use it and how it works for you, please share in the comments!

I adore evernote too! One of my biggest loves. I love that my notes travel from computer to iphone and I can update either on the go and it syncs with the other. I use it to keep client notes (password protected of course), passwords, as well as my kids school rosters so whereever I am on the go, I can always call another parent or find the house where my kid has a playdate. And it’s free. Definitely winner of the “best technology that ACTUALLY makes your life easier” award.
Great spotlight Sarah!
I have been an Evernote fan from it’s very beginning. It’s my go to tool for almost everything business.
Can I tell you I’m not the best copywriter so when it comes to blogging ideas and sales copy, Evernote holds the secret to my success. As I see things that peak my interest or love how they are worded they go into a “swipe” file that I use to jump start what creativity I do have.
My clients like it to because as I work with them I set up a file just for them where I keep articles that may interest them as well as the current status on their projects. They love this one on one kind of sharing that doesn’t clog up their email.
This is the best tool out there with so much value all for free. Love it!
